Synthetic Platelet Animation
This animation was created for the University Hospitals of Cleveland to show a newly developed synthetic nanoplatelet that, when injected into a patient’s IV, will travel through the venous system, through the heart, and directly to an injury site. For this animation, the injury site is located deep within the small intestine. Synthetic nanoplatelets such as these could help combat internal bleeding in locations throughout the body that are difficult to reach to expedite the healing process.
